Originally Ash Mansel Motors, husband and wife duo Richard & Nicole, purchased the business in 2015 and rebranded it as Automotive HQ.
Rotorua has always been a special destination for the duo and in 2015 they decided to make it home. They are joined by two primary school-aged daughters and love spending time in the forest and relaxing at the lakes. Both Richard and Nicole can be seen hitting the trails on weekends, making the most of the amazing mountain bike trail network.
Rich has been in the industry since 1997. He had been mucking around with cars for years before deciding to get into the industry to further his passion, skills, and knowledge in the field.
Todd has been in the trade since following his father into the industry after growing up with a love for cars. We are wondering if this could be the start of a family automotive tradition?
Kelly has recently joined the team and brings youthful exuberance. He studied at Toi Ohomai and is gaining valuable experience at Automotive HQ.
Nicole has pivoted from an early childhood teaching career to running an automotive workshop. She is our customer service, bookings, and admin whizz.
